Welcome, Adjunct Faculty!

We are grateful to partner with you in the sacred work of teaching and mentoring students at California Baptist University. As a vital part of our academic community, your role extends beyond delivering content—it encompasses shaping lives through Christ-centered education. The Teaching and Learning Center exists to support you as a co-educator committed to fostering holistic learning that integrates faith, scholarship, and service. Rooted in a biblical worldview and the redemptive mission of Jesus Christ, our calling is to equip Kingdom professionals—like you—to live out the Great Commission both inside and outside the classroom. Whether you are teaching online, on campus, or in hybrid settings, we are here to help you thrive and make a lasting impact in the university, the community, the church, and the world.

At CBU, we are committed to equipping adjunct faculty with the tools, strategies, and support needed to foster transformative learning experiences. Through regular training opportunities grounded in the scholarship of teaching and learning, adjuncts are invited to engage with evidence-based instructional practices that enhance student success. We provide hands-on guidance in using the university’s core technologies—including Blackboard 9.1 Original, instructional media tools, and classroom engagement platforms—so faculty can confidently integrate digital resources into their teaching.

Faculty are also encouraged to participate in our Lunch ’N Learn sessions, which offer informal, collaborative learning around timely teaching topics. For added flexibility, a library of asynchronous training modules and on-demand resources is available to accommodate your schedule. Whether you're new to teaching or a seasoned educator, our training pathways are designed to help you grow, connect, and thrive in your role as a Kingdom-minded educator.
