Resident Advisors (RA) are student leaders who live in each living area and help create a welcoming and supportive community. RAs help residents feel at home, succeed during their time on campus, and grow in faith within each residential community.

What RAs Do:

  • Build Community: Plan events, activities, and small gatherings to connect residents.
  • Support Students: Be available to talk, listen, and guide peers through challenges.
  • Provide Resources: Point students toward campus services, opportunities, and support systems.
  • Promote Safety: Help maintain a positive and safe living environment in the residence halls.
  • Encourage Responsibility: Empower residents to follow campus policies, address issues when they arise, and report concerns to Residence Life professional staff when necessary.
  • Lead by Example: Motivate others to grow in faith, academics, and personal development by modeling Christ-centered leadership.

Your RA is your first point of contact when it comes to living on campus. Whether you have questions about policies, need help resolving a roommate conflict, or just want to know what’s
happening in your community, your RA is there to help YOU. They’re trained to connect you with resources, support you in your journey, and make sure you feel at home at CBU.
