Laundry
Every living area on campus has at least one laundry room (many have more). You’ll need to bring your own detergent, fabric softener, and any other laundry supplies you prefer.
All residents living on Campus are assigned a campus Mailbox at the campus post office located in Lancer Plaza. Need more information? Contact the Mail and Shipping department mailandshipping@calbaptist.edu or (951) 343 - 4203
Pools
The Colony & Point both feature pools for their residents to use. Hours range from 10am to 10pm. Student conduct policies will be enforced as necessary.
At the end of the Fall Semester, residents will have a set check-out date; after this date, card access to units will be disabled until the Spring Semester.
Residents wishing to stay in their units for any duration during the break between Fall and Spring semesters must complete a Christmas Housing Application.
The application can be found on the Housing Portal. Availability and deadlines vary each semester; we advise you to keep an eye out for our emails to avoid missing any important notices when the application goes live.
If you fail to complete a Christmas application and remain in your unit past your scheduled check-out date you will be fined.
Our living areas across campus feature card swipe access linked to your student I.D. This allows residents access to their living area building, units, and rooms.
The only exception to this is Graduate Houses. All Graduate Houses require residents to have a physical key to the unit. Residents are assigned a specific key that they are responsible for (See the “Rekey” section on our Policies and Procedures page for more information.
Additionally, garage remotes for Graduate Houses can be granted upon request, depending on availability. Students likewise are responsible for their checked-out remote. Failure to return an assigned remote will result in a fine.
Work Orders
If something in your room or apartment needs to be repaired or checked, including university-provided furniture, let us know right away by submitting an electronic work order. This helps our Facilities and Housing team address issues promptly, ensuring your space remains safe and comfortable.
How to Submit a Work Order:
- Login to the Student Housing Portal.
- Click the “Maintenance” link near the top of the page.
- Select “New Work Order,” fill out the request completely, and click Save & Continue.
- You’ll receive an email confirmation in your LancerMail once your request has been submitted. Need to update it? Just log back in, follow the same steps, and choose “View/Modify.”
Submit only one item per work order. If you have multiple issues, please submit a separate request for each one.

Pest Control
Notice unwanted bugs or pests in your room or apartment? Don’t worry — we can help!
The process for requesting pest control is the same as submitting a maintenance work
order:
- Login to the Student Housing Portal.
- Click the “Maintenance” tab.
- Select “New Work Order” and include details about the pest issue in your request.
Our Facilities team will take it from there. You’ll receive a confirmation email in your LancerMail once the request is submitted, and updates will be shared as your request is scheduled.

Residents with a completed application will be required to move to a new unit for the duration of Summer housing at CBU. Summer residents who have completed a housing application for Fall will be required to transition from their Summer to Fall residence on a specific date to ensure units can be prepared in time for Fall residents. Failure to do so will result in fines. We advise you to keep a close eye on your emails and bookings on the housing portal to avoid fines.
Our office does not offer tours of our Living Areas. Campus tours including a look into some of our options can be scheduled through the Undergraduate Admissions office.

Yes! Even freshman residents are able to have their cars on campus. You will however, have to register your car with Safety Services. For more information, navigate to the “parking permits” section on our Policies and Procedures page.
Housing assignments at CBU are first-come first-served. We do not take waiting list requests. If you didn’t get the unit you would’ve preferred, we advise you to still select it to confirm your booking and continue to check the “Change Room” tab on your application to see if any units have become available.
As you prepare to move into your new unit at CBU, please take a moment to review the following lists of items to bring that will help make it feel like home.
Be sure to discuss with your roommates before moving in so that you can coordinate on who will bring which shared items.

University-Provided Furniture
- An extra-long twin bed, desk, chair & dresser are provided per resident
- Additional items such as sofas, coffee tables, dining tables, etc. vary based on unit configuration.
