Scholarship Application Process

Who Should Apply?
All students who have taken classes at CBU for at least 1 semester should apply. Undergraduate, graduate, doctorate, and international students should apply.

When to Apply?
Scholarship applications for the 2024-2025 academic year will open Thursday, February 1, 2024, and close at midnight on Sunday, April 21, 2024.

(Donor-funded scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year have already been awarded.)

How to Apply?
Prerequisites:
While it is not required, we highly recommend that you complete your FAFSA.

Steps to Apply:

1. 1. All admitted students
      Login at https://calbaptist.scholarshipuniverse.com/ by using InsideCBU username and password.

   2. Answer Questions
      Upon first login, you will be asked to verify your contact information. You will then be asked some questions that will match you to scholarships for which you might qualify.

   3. View Scholarships
      Click on the “Scholarships” tab on the left menu of your Dashboard page. This will take you to a complete list of scholarships (both external and donor funded scholarships) that you may apply for.

      

      The first tab, “Matches”, shows your matched scholarships – these are the scholarships for which you have met all the matching requirements and are able to apply for.

   4. Apply for CBU Donor Funded Scholarships
      

      Click on the Applications tab on the left menu to see a complete list of applications you could complete. Click “Start Applications”. Deadlines are specified on the application.

      Uploading Documents

      You can upload a file in the following formats: PDF, PNG, BMP, or JPG.

      Remember

      Donor funded scholarship applications will close at midnight on Sunday, April 21, 2024.

What Happens Next?
Scholarship applications will be reviewed in May and June 2024. UA will announce scholarship awards between July and August 2024 by sending an email to your Lancermail account. Once all awards have been made, all applicants will be notified via email.

FAQs

I was awarded a scholarship last year. Do I need to apply again this year?
Yes. We will not be able to determine whether you are still eligible this year if you do not submit an application.

Will you still consider me for a scholarship if I start but do not finish my application?
No. Only completed applications will be considered.

Can I start my application, save it, and finish it later?
Yes, but students often forget to finish it. We recommend completing the application in one sitting so that you do not forget to finish it.
