
Parent Prayer Group
At Parent Prayer Group we gather to pray for students, faculty, staff, CBU and each other. Join us in uplifting each other and the Lancer Family each month.
All meetings are at 10 a.m. (PST) unless otherwise noted. Meetings are held in the
Yeager Center at California Baptist University.

September 20, 2025 (In Person Only)
Please pray for:
- Structuring Lives for success/putting God first
- Meaningful, healthy, and encouraging new friendships
- Safety during commuting and transit for those students on campus
- Godly campus culture/student identity rooted in the Lord
“I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love” (Ephesians 3:17b-18)
October 18, 2025 (Online Only)
Please pray for:
- Professors to be proficient with online and in-person teaching
- Grace given to students where needed
- Students to build strong connections with faculty, staff, and peers
- Frustrations/difficulties given to the Lord
- Healthy life choices - devotions, exercise, diet, and church

November 15, 2025 (In person during Parent & Family Weekend)
Please pray for:
- Avoiding tendencies toward procrastination
- Students/staff/faculty - spirit of truth and discernment
- Staying Healthy
- Being grateful for family, friends, and educational opportunities
- Final exam pressure/anxiety
“For this reason also, since the day we heard this, we haven’t stopped praying for you. We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, so that you may have great endurance and patience, joyfully.” (Colossians 1:9-11)

- Adjustment at home over Christmas break
- Missing new friends/reconnecting with old friends
- God's financial provision for students/families

- New semester/New year
- Decision making for success
- Evaluating friendships
- Witnessing opportunities

- Major choice anxiety
- Exams/pressures with midterms
- Career opportunities and success

March 31, 2026 (On campus during Grandparents Day)

- Housing arrangements for next year
- Summer jobs/internships
- ISP training and raising support
- Thinking ahead for summer plans
