Community Outreach

In line with the mission of CBU, the SPP program equips students to serve others by giving them opportunities to serve the nearby community. Students have the opportunity to help lead afterschool programs for disadvantaged kids and to work with elderly and chronically ill individuals in order to get them up and moving. In addition, students participate in supporting the CBU Well at Work Employee Wellness Program. The goal of all of these programs is to serve these individuals so that they will have an increased quality of life.

Our program was given special recognition as a part of CBU being awarded the 2019 HERO Community Partner of the Year for our work with the Peer-to-Peer Program. This was awarded to us by the Riverside Medical Clinic Charitable Foundation.

Our program conducted breakout sessions at the 2019 Bullying Prevention Conference in Riverside, CA, also hosted by the Riverside Medical Clinic Charitable Foundation.

Our program holds Coaches' Clinics for all high school coaches in the Riverside Unified School District.
