For the past 30 years Dr. Ed Garrett (or "Dr.G" as his students refer to him as) has embraced his calling to impact lives using the gift of sport and performance psychology. His journey has taken him through learning opportunities with the NFL Super Bowl, the Colorado Rockies (MLB), the 1996 Summer Olympics, and a numerous collegiate coaching and athletic administration positions. Currently Dr. Garrett serves as a Core Professor for the Masters of Sport and Performance Psychology program, Program Coordinator for the Bachelor's in Sport and Performance Psychology degree, and Division Leader for Sport and Performance Psychology with the American Association for Christian Counselors. His time at California Baptist University is spent between full-time teaching and counseling multiple athletic teams on their cognitive performance. Dr. Garrett has a small private practice and has also contracted with Loma Linda University on research associated with the application of performance psychology and behavioral modification Dr. Garrett is a blessed husband of 25 years, a father of four, and an avid college football and baseball fan.

Mrs. Cassidy Gonzales

Cassidy Gonzales graduated from California Baptist University with both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology and sport and performance psychology, respectively. She serves as a vital member to the center team, providing administrative and community services.
