Program Details
Consistent with the university student outcomes, upon completion of the Master of Public Administration degree, graduates will be able to:
- Lead and manage in public governance.
- Participate in and/or contribute to the policy process.
- Analyze, synthesize, think, critically, solve problems and make decisions.

MPA 510: History and Theory of Public Administration
This course traces the historical development of the intellectual and theoretical foundations of modern public administration beginning with Woodrow Wilson's essay concerning the politics administration dichotomy through the multitude of more modern theories.
MPA 570: Public Policy Analysis
This course examines the activities of government and the consequences of these actions. Through the application of analytical techniques, the student will gain an understanding of the nature of public policy and various ways in which it may be approached.
MPA 540: Public Personnel Management
This course provides a solid groundwork for the study of labor-management negotiations grounded in theory by analyzing and describing the nature and extent of labor-management negotiations, the suspected causes of conflict, and the internal and environmental influences on these changes.

of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). Many prospective
students are uncertain about which college degrees employers or universities will
accept. This regional accreditation by WSCUC means you can be confident that your
CBU degree is recognized and respected by schools and companies across the country.
What resources do I need to complete my degree online?
To complete your online degree, you will need access to a computer, Wi-Fi and a word
processor like Microsoft Word. These are necessary to access the student learning
system and complete your assignments. Some programs may require different resources.
