Program Details

Consistent with the university student outcomes, upon completion of the Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Administration degree, graduates will be able to:

  1. Examine and evaluate organizational behaviors and leadership effectiveness within a wide spectrum of industries and types in order to cultivate contextual intelligence (CI).
  2. Apply previous learning as well as to conduct new ethical research with the aim of being able to apply this knowledge to address new opportunities and challenges.
  3. Examine organizational experiences, events or issues that are challenging, ambiguous or unexpected in order to enhance their leadership capabilities and navigate future challenges effectively.
  4. Communicate effectively.
  5. Enhance their relational capability through development of the four domains of EQ: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management.
  6. Set high standards for ethical conduct consistent with personal values, beliefs, and emotions. Students will continuously strive for lifelong learning and self-improvement, personally and professionally.
  7. Evaluate psychological factors that promote satisfaction and performance for self and others.
  8. Examine strategies for promoting innovative ideas, processes, and procedures that promote competitive advantage and organizational sustainability.
  9. Develop and enhance strategies for leveraging cultural intelligence, diversity, and inclusion.
  10. Identify, develop and enhance strategies for developing effective collaborative environments at all levels of the organization, and promote the development of future leaders.

ORG 710: New Era Organizations 

This course prepares learners for the program by studying essential research-based theories on administration and management leading up to contemporary ones.

ORG 730: Leveraging Culture and Diversity

This course prepares administrators for gaining insight into identifying the barriers that exist within organizations that mitigate opportunities for diversity and inclusion.

ORG 740: Strategy, Planning, and Change

This course focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed to maintain competitive advantage and sustainability in today's dynamic organizations.
