CBU Cheer Wins Third Straight National Title

Heading into finals Friday evening, California Baptist University knew it needed to focus if it was going to take home its third championship trophy. As soon as the Lancers took the stage, one thing clear: they were there to compete.

Two of California Baptist University’s campus publications, The Banner newspaper and Pursuit magazine, took home top national awards at recent journalism conferences in Los Angeles and New York City.

Dr. Carolyn Bishop, president of Consortium for Global Education, was the featured speaker Oct. 13 at California Baptist University’s College of Allied Health Distinguished Lecture Series. Bishop spoke on the topic “Impact of Education and Healthcare Initiatives in Strategic Nations.”
