Prior to applying for a J Visa as a Research Scholar interest applicants should contact our office about the application process for being approved as a Research Scholar at CBU. This process will include a review of your research proposal, why you believe CBU is the best fit to complete your research, verification of financial support for the duration of the research project, and faculty placement. Once CBU determines that there would be a viable partnership between the scholar applicant and CBU our office will provide a letter of invitation, which the applicant may then use to apply for a J Visa.
