Enhancing the CBU experience through purposeful, co-curricular programming.

Campus Traditions

TWIRP/The Woman Is Required to Pay (end of September) During TWIRP Week, girls invite guys to on- and off-campus events including concerts, an Angels baseball game, a barn dance (complete with square dancing and a costume contest) and other excursions.

Midnight Madness (late October/early November) This high-energy event kicks off basketball season by introducing the men's and women's basketball teams to hundreds of cheering students packed into the gym. School spirit is raised with games and relays like the dunk contest and 3-point shootout, and free food and prizes for the fans. You must wear your CBU Crazies T-shirt to get in the door. Tickets sell out quickly.

Yule (early December) — Enjoy a change of pace with a formal dinner and night of entertainment at a premier southern California venue. Last year's event featured a murder mystery dinner aboard the Queen Mary.

Late Night Breakfast (finals week)  Finals week can be stressful, so faculty and staff serve up breakfast to the students, giving them some fuel for their all-nighter.

Coffeehouse Concerts — These occur a few times each semester and range from open mic nights showcasing CBU's talent to concerts by well-known artists such as Tyrone Wells, Phil Wickham, Elenowen, Ben Rector, Andrew Belle and many more!
