Program Details

Consistent with the university student outcomes, upon completion of the Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity degree, graduates will be able to:

  1. Apply various techniques, including mathematical and analytical algorithms, for the purpose of protecting data at rest, during processing, and in transit.
  2. Examine the process of developing and using software that preserves the security of information and systems.
  3. Analyze security aspects related to the design, fabrication, procurement, integration, testing, and analysis of computer components.
  4. Appraise the security of the connections between information system components, including physical and logical connections.
  5. Examine at a holistic level the security aspects of systems that are composed of components and connections, and use software.
  6. Evaluate the protection of individuals' data and privacy in the context of organizational and personal life, in addition to the study of human behavior as it relates to cybersecurity.
  7. Analyze the types of security laws, regulations, and standards governing the protection of organizations from cybersecurity threats and the management of risk to support the successful accomplishment of an organization's mission.
  8. Examine aspects of cybersecurity that impact the global society, including cybercrime, law, ethics, policy, privacy and their relation to each other.

CYB 420: Offensive Security

This course equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to take an offensive position in regards to cybersecurity and the organization.

CYB 430: Computer Forensics

This course equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully navigate the cybersecurity incident response lifecycle.

NAM 320: Computer and Operating System Architecture

This course explores the theoretical and practical aspects of computer operating systems.
