The MS in Industrial and Organizational Psychology provides students with a strong theoretical foundation for meeting real-world challenges across diverse settings. Practical experiences allow students to design and deliver interventions, conduct research and develop potential in people. Graduates will work in business, nonprofits and faith communities to be the difference in the workplace.

Research alongside faculty

Our students are involved in ongoing research, investigating the areas of positive organizational psychology, resilience and positive effects. Our faculty are currently researching the areas of employee engagement, career development and cross-cultural variations in business psychology.

Program Details

IOP 509: Leadership Development and Change Management

This course examines the basic concepts, theories, nature, and practices of leadership and leadership behavior. 

IOP 539: Work Motivation

This course unpacks the conditions and environment influences on human behavior in the workplace looking into personal strategies for successfully navigating the challenges of work and life.

IOP 583: Cross-Cultural Communication

Explores global perspectives of approaching the world of work. We discover strategic approaches to the world of business and psychology, considering how they may vary from culture to culture.
