  1. Complete a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or the evaluated equivalency.
  2. Meet Basic Skills Requirements by one of the following:
    • Degree from a Regionally Accredited University
    • CBEST Exam
  3. Meet Subject Matter Competency by one of the following:

    • Obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from a Regionally Accredited University in a qualifying undergraduate major.
    • Proof of registration or completion of the CSET. Completion of the CSET is not required as part of the application process but may be required during the program dependent upon post-admission evaluation.
  4. Meet the minimum grade point average:
    • A minimum 2.75 GPA
    • Applicants who do not meet the minimum GPA may be considered for admission upon evaluation of transcripts and additional application materials. 
  5. Written statement of purpose OR in-person/virtual program interview (student's choice). Written statement (500-word maximum) or interview will address:
    • What are your educational goals?
    • How will this program help meet those goals?
    • What makes you a good fit for CBU?
  6. Verification of Certificate of Clearance (COC) granted.
  7. Credential program acceptance.
