- Complete a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or the evaluated equivalency.
- Complete subject matter requirements:
- Basic Skills Requirement can be met by:
- Degree from a Regionally Accredited University
- CBEST Exam
- Take at least one subtest of the California Subject Examination (CSET) for the planned credential content area or meet the Subject Matter Competency equivalency (qualifying undergraduate major).
- Basic Skills Requirement can be met by:
- Meet the minimum grade point average:
- A minimum 2.75 GPA
- Applicants who do not meet the minimum GPA may be considered for admission with passage of all subsets of the CSET exam for the planned credential content area.
- Written statement of purpose OR in-person/virtual program interview (student's choice).
Written statement (500-word maximum) or interview will address:
- What are your educational goals?
- How will this program help meet those goals?
- What makes you a good fit for CBU?
- Verification of Certificate of Clearance (COC) granted.
- Credential program acceptance.
