Majors will evaluate moral and ethical issues in interior design practice through
a Christian worldview marked by humility, integrity, stewardship, and respect for
God’s creation.
Majors will analyze and apply core interior design principles, theories, and historical
influences to the development of functional and aesthetic interior spaces, as demonstrated
through design projects, visual presentations, and written summaries/statements.
Majors will generate and develop innovative design solutions using spatial reasoning
and creative problem-solving across multiple media, as demonstrated through iterative
design processes, concept development, and final project outcomes.
Majors will produce professional-quality two-dimensional and three-dimensional design
representations that communicate design intent using industry-standard tools, techniques,
and workflows, as demonstrated through technical drawings, renderings, and digital
or physical models.
Majors will present and justify design solutions by articulating the functional, aesthetic,
and professional implications of their decisions using appropriate industry standards,
as demonstrated through formal presentations, client-ready deliverables, and portfolio
submissions.
