Consistent with the university student outcomes, upon completion of the Bachelor of Arts in History degree, graduates will be able to:

  • Explain the significance of diverse religious and philosophical traditions, political systems, and cultural movements that have defined human interaction across time, including the contribution of marginalized peoples within a cultural setting.
  • Evaluate how a Christian perspective intersects with the various historical theories and methods that influence our understanding of earlier cultures and past events.
  • Analyze primary and secondary sources to build evidence-based judgements that explain human relationships and past events.
  • Craft historical arguments from source analysis and original research.
