Non-Resident Faculty / Staff

F&PS oversees the maintenance and operations of all campus structures. This includes the "internal building systems" — HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning), plumbing, lights, etc. — as well as the building structures.
- Hanging wall decorations: If this is in preparation for an event, then the work should be scheduled. If there are multiple “beginning of the semester” faculty/staff office move-ins, then the work orders will be compiled on a spreadsheet and handled as technicians are available. When submitting a work order request, please specify the number of items to be hung as well as the date that you would like the work order completed by.
- Hanging whiteboards: Classroom whiteboards are ordered by F&PS, and installed by a professional installer. If you purchase a standard whiteboard for an office or department, please submit a work order for installation. Glass whiteboards require professional installation; F&PS will assist by obtaining a quote for the installation cost. If approved, F&PS will also assist with scheduling the installation.
- Moving personal items: F&PS does not move personal items for staff/faculty.
- Moving office furniture: Please do not move office furniture. Office furniture is assigned to the office space, not the staff or faculty member. If you would like to make changes or additions to your existing office furniture, please complete a Furniture Request Form.
- Moving classroom furniture: Please do not move classroom furniture. Classroom furniture is assigned to each specific classroom. If you would like to make changes or additions to existing classroom furniture, please complete a Furniture Request Form.
- Missing classroom furniture: If your classroom is missing chairs, tables or a podium, please contact Conferences & Events at x4374.
- Furniture/Equipment Assembly: When purchasing furniture or equipment that requires assembly, please submit a work order to schedule assembly and include a cost center. F&PS assembly charge is $28 per hour.
- Computer and Phone moves: If you are changing offices and require your computer and telephone to be moved, please contact ITS HelpDesk at x4444.
- Accommodations: If a student in your class requires specific chair accommodations, please contact Office of Disability Services at x8814.
- Classroom Management Expectations: Guidelines to help faculty, students, staff to allow the rooms to remain in “classroom ready” status.
Work order requests are submitted via the WebTMA computer system to F&PS at WebTMA login. Any questions regarding submitting work orders, or status of submitted work orders,
should be directed to cswanson@calbaptist.edu, x8277 from a campus phone.
If there is an emergency (a condition that will cause damage or injury to persons
or property), call F&PS front desk @ x4360 and notify the department of the type and
details of the emergency. Then, please follow up with submitting the work request
on the WebTMA website - this will help our department assign the work to the appropriate
technician.
Resident Students
To submit an electronic work order please complete the following steps:
- Click on the “Submit a Work Order” link here or above.
- Click on the “Maintenance” link near the top of the page.
- Select “New Work Order” and completely fill out the work order request. Once finished click “Save & Continue.”
An email confirmation will be sent to your LancerMail account once your work order
has been submitted. If you need to update your work order you can follow the steps
listed above and select “View/Modify” to make any necessary changes.
Please submit only one item per work order. If there are multiple issues to report,
please submit additional work orders for each item.

Key Requests
How will I know if F&PS has received my request?
Email F&PS Locksmiths (locksmith@calbaptist.edu) for status if you do not receive notice to pick up key(s) within 5 business days
of submitting request.
When will I receive my key?
In most cases, keys will be made within 3 business days of receipt of approved requisition
by F&PS.
How will I know when my key is ready?
F&PS will notify the Requestor via e-mail when the key is available for sign-out and pick up by the recipient (“Owner”) in
the F&PS office (Building 16 on campus).
Who can pick up my key?
Only the key "owner" is allowed to pick up keys.
What are your business hours?
Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm (except holidays).
Where do I pick up my key?
In the Facilities & Planning Services office (F&PS) - Building 16 on campus.
Are student workers allowed to have keys?
For security reasons - no. However, the department can request a key to be checked
out by student workers as needed. The department will be responsible for the management
of the key.
Card Access Permissions
How soon will I have new access activated?
In most cases, access will be activated within 1 business day of receipt of approved
request by F&PS.
What do I do if I lost my access card?
Go to University Card Services (Lancer Plaza 140) to request a new card.
