Grad Fest

Mark your calendars for Grad Fest, this celebratory event prior to the commencement ceremony for all approved candidates! Spring 2024 candidates are asked to attend during their assigned dates and times to avoid major delays, but may attend anytime during the dates and times of the event. Grad Fest will take place in the CBU Fowler Events Center.

Grad Fest Event Dates and Times

Wednesday, March 6 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday, March 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• If you are unable to attend at your assigned time, please feel free to come anytime the event is open (March 6, 2pm–6pm or March 7, 11am–3pm).
• If you are unable to attend, you may send a friend/family member to pick up your regalia and your free gifts. Please send them with the email (printed or on their phone) titled “Urgent! Bring This Info to Grad Fest!”, which lists your specific information. You will receive this email on February 29.
• If you cannot attend (or send a proxy) and CAN STILL pick up your regalia between March 20-April 16 on campus, please email commencement@calbaptist.edu to request for your regalia to be pulled aside for you by March 1.
• DOCTORAL candidates will not receive their regalia at this event. They may attend anytime during the event hours/days and are invited to take a business professional picture and receive free gifts.

What's Available at Grad Fest?

Regalia Distribution

Bachelor's and master's only. Doctoral will be pre-ordered and shipped directly to candidates.

Exclusive Grad Bundles

Special pricing on grad items like frames and stoles and Blue and Gold Bundles will happen the week of Grad Fest! You can buy online or in person through the Campus Store!

CBU Stoles
CBU stoles are not included with provided regalia; however, they are included in the Blue or Gold Grad Bundles or for $40 at the Campus Store. CBU stoles are optional regalia for all graduates.

Great Commission Stoles
If you have participated in a CBU International Service Project (ISP), you are eligible to wear a Great Commission Stole during the Commencement ceremony. You may purchase a stole for $40 at the Campus Store.

Cap and Gown Portraits
This is your opportunity to take an official graduate or business portrait. We will provide bachelor's and master's candidates with regalia for the pictures or you may dress in professional wear (doctoral candidates). Click here for more information. 

Class Rings and Pendants
Graduates will have the opportunity to view many beautiful styles of CBU class rings and pendants. Josten's will be there to assist with sizing and ordering merchandise. Discounts will be given to students purchasing a ring at this event. Click here for more information. 

Know What You Owe
Our Student Accounts staff will be available to assist graduates in understanding remaining tuition or fee balances and payment options. Also, our Financial Aid staff will be available to assist with remaining student loan debt, consolidation options, and any other questions regarding loans.

Order Your Grad Flower Package
You can pre-order your grad flower package, flower lei, and kukui nut necklace for commencement. All proceeds from this sale will benefit the CBU International Service Projects.

Honor Cords and Military Cords
Pick up your Honor Cords (3.50 GPA or higher, bachelor's candidates only), and veterans may pick up their red, white and blue Military Cords.

Career Center
Our Career Center staff wants to see our graduates succeed. Representatives will be available to ensure graduates are made aware of the many services available to them.

Campus Store
Alumni items, CBU stoles and diploma frames are just a few of the items that will be available for purchase at this event.

Gift from Spiritual Life
Spiritual Life will be there to celebrate your achievement and provide you with a gift that keeps on giving long after you graduate. 

Gift from the Alumni Office
