The Big West proudly announces that California Baptist University (CBU) will join
the conference as a full member beginning in the 2026-27 academic year. This move
enhances The Big West’s competitive landscape and reinforces its commitment to academic
and athletic excellence.
California Baptist University recently received approval to double its Master of Science
in Physician Assistant Studies program. The class size will go from 30 students to
60 for the two-year program. To better equip students, the PA program’s facilities
moved.
The start of fall semester at California Baptist University was buzzing — and not
just because students were back in session. The university also announced the successful
early completion of a five-year $40 Million Endowment Challenge.
California Baptist University dedicated its new Baseball and Softball Clubhouse on
Sept. 4 in front of a crowd of donors, fans and student-athletes. The new building
provides 14,411 square feet of space where both teams and staff will work to bring
CBU more championships from the diamond.
