Student Learning Outcomes
Outcome #1 — Biblically Centered: Students with majors in SCM will demonstrate biblical literacy, including historical, contextual and literary parameters and principles of biblical interpretation.
Outcome #2 — Theologically Grounded: Students with majors in SCM will know and integrate the historic doctrines of the Christian faith.
Outcome #3 — Historically Informed: Students with majors in SCM will appreciate the people, events and ideas that have shaped the Christian church.
Outcome #4 — Philosophically Conscious: Students with majors in SCM will know the basic parameters of the Christian worldview.
Outcome #5 — Ethically Engaged: Students with majors in SCM will understand the implications of commitment to Jesus Christ through development of personal character and engagement of societal and communal responsibility reflected in a lifestyle consistent with the biblical faith.
Outcome #6 — Practically Equipped: Students with majors in SCM will apply their education to the church, in both its local and global contexts, as servant leaders.
