The Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences program is designed for both first-time freshman and transfer students who want to earn a bachelor's degree in radiologic sciences.

Up to 30 students are selected for the program annually for a fall semester start. 

Selection is made through holistic admission and includes a combination of metrics, attributes and experiences. Students can showcase their personal and academic achievements through many aspects of the application, such as the cumulative GPA, prerequisite GPA, letters of recommendation, experience, community enrichment and passion and understanding of the profession. A minimum overall 3.0 college/university GPA on a 4-point scale is required. 

We have more applicants for the program than we have spaces available and we are very selective. We consider students who are enrolled or have completed units at CBU and then we will consider transfer students.   

How to Apply

 

Step 1: Apply to CBU as a traditional undergraduate student. All students will be pre-radiologic sciences majors prior to acceptance to the radiologic sciences program. Once you have received your official acceptance, proceed with the next steps. 

Step 2: Begin radiologic sciences application here.

Step 3: Request transcripts to be sent from every college or university you've attended, including CBU, to CBU. You do not need to send CBU transcripts. Please fill out the attached prerequisite self-evaluation form that outlines the courses you have completed to meet the prerequisite requirements for admission.

Step 4: Request and send 3 letters of recommendation. At least one should be from a radiology professional and one should be from an instructor or professor.

Step 5: Complete a minimum of 8 observational hours within a radiology environment. Complete this clinical hours form.

Step 6: Submit your completed application online. Once this final step is complete, you should receive an email letting you know that your application is complete or that you are still missing some documents. 

Step 7: Once your application is reviewed, you will receive an email letting you know if you have been invited for an interview or not. 

 

When to Apply

 

The program only admits students for the fall. Applications are accepted from March 22, 2024 to April 29, 2024, and all prerequisites must be completed by the end of spring semester prior to the intended start date.

  • Submission of a radiologic sciences application

  • Submission of a document verifying the completion of 8 hours of observation in a radiology environment
  • A successful interview with the radiologic sciences admissions committee

  • Acceptance to the university as a pre-radiologic sciences student

Once Accepted as a Radiologic Sciences Student:
