Application Requirements:

- Grade Point Average

- A minimum 3.0 GPA for admission

- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or the evaluated equivalency.
- Minimum of one year of work experience as an RN is required for APRN concentrations (Nurse Practitioner).
- An active, unencumbered California Registered Nursing (RN) License
- Three recommendations completed on forms provided

- Must be from sources who can personally attest to the candidate’s potential for scholarly and professional success: one personal, one academic, and one employer. Family members and friends may not complete recommendations.

- Professional resume that includes current practice with a minimum of one year of work experience as RN for APRN concentrations (Nurse Practitioner; Clinical Nurse Specialist).
- A comprehensive essay of no more than 1000 words in APA 7th edition format that includes the following elements:

- Purpose for entering the program
- Significant events and influences that have affected your approach to life
- Long-term professional goals
- Reasons for choosing to study at California Baptist University

- Successful interview with the College of Nursing is required for Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator concentrations.

- Proof of Health Insurance
- Proof of Motor Vehicle Insurance

- Grade Point Average

- Students are expected to work as a registered nurse during the program to gain clinical experience.
