Student Learning Outcomes

Consistent with the university student outcomes, upon completion of the Bachelor of Arts in Human Services degree, graduates will be able to:

1. Effectively present information orally and in writing at the undergraduate level.
2. Describe the history of the helping relationship, intervention strategies within different settings, managed care and models of service delivery in human services.
3. Apply biopsychosocial theories, principles and concepts related to the human services field, profession, and society at large.
4. Evaluate quantitative and qualitative research methodology to the study of human services.
5. Evaluate issues related to diversity, human rights, families and social institutions.
6. Apply knowledge of ethical considerations, crisis management and community needs to assessment and intervention in human services.
7. Integrate Christian faith with biopsychosocial theories, concepts and principles in the human services field.
