Program Details
Consistent with the university student outcomes, upon completion of the Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministries degree, graduates will be able to:
- Demonstrate biblical literacy of the Old and New Testaments, including historical, contextual and literary parameters, and principles of biblical interpretation.
- Articulate the historic doctrines of the Christian faith.
- Analyze the people, events and ideas that have shaped the Christian church, including the Baptist tradition.
- Articulate the basic parameters of the Christian worldview and practice.
- Demonstrate the implications of commitment to Jesus Christ through development of personal character and engagement of societal and communal responsibility consistent with the biblical faith.
- Apply their theological commitment/foundation to the church, in both its local and global contexts, as servant leaders.
APT 482: Ministry Leadership
Ministry Leadership is a study of the nature of the church, the roles of ministry leaders, and practical strategies for leadership.
CST 300: History of Baptist Thought
An examination of Baptist history and doctrine with respect to other Christian denominations and non-denominational churches.
CST 381: Christian Missions
An examination of the issues faced by today's Christian missionaries, including divine call, recruitment, theological issues, cultural problems, political involvement, methodology and indigenization.

California Baptist University (CBU), which includes all programs offered online, is accredited by the Western Association
of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). Many prospective

What resources do I need to complete my degree online?
To complete your online degree, you will need access to a computer, Wi-Fi and a word
processor like Microsoft Word. These are necessary to access the student learning
system and complete your assignments. Some programs may require different resources.
