Global Service
We exist to invest in the CBU community to develop followers of Jesus who join in God’s global mission. Our primary vehicle for doing that is International Service Projects (ISP).
International Service Projects (ISP)
ISP is a program that brings together teams of CBU students to do life, learn, and serve globally. These teams, mentored and trained throughout the spring semester, join with field partners worldwide for two to eight-week cross-cultural service opportunities during the summer.
The ideal ISP applicant will be follower of Christ who is established in their faith and desires to grow as a disciple-maker. Applicants will have a desire to learn and adapt to a cross-cultural ministry environment. Encounter teams (2-3 weeks) are teams of 8-12 that are led by a faculty/staff member. Immersion Teams (8 weeks) are teams of four, led by a student captain and are ideal for students considering mid or long-term service after graduation. Students who have previously participated on an International Serve Project are strongly encouraged to consider applying for Immersion or Encounter Student Leadership.
Applications are closed for the 2024-25 year. However, come back in Fall of 2025 for more information about how to apply for next summer!
May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you! (Psalm 67:1-3, ESV)
