Registration Quick Facts

Financial Aid events are offered in virtual modalities on various dates throughout the fall and spring semesters. Registration for fall events is open. Click each event table below to learn more.

There is no cost to participate in any Financial Aid events. We also encourage parents to join their student for these events.

This virtual session will begin with an introduction from one of our counselors and then launch into a presentation to learn how to make the most of financial aid. Participants will also have an opportunity to ask any questions they may have near the conclusion.

The goal of this session is to help prospective students and their families clearly understand all of the steps necessary to be financially ready to attend CBU. This event will be helpful for individuals or families who have any of these questions:

  • Where do I start with the financial aid process?
  • What are the financial aid options that CBU students can receive?
  • What is the cost to attend CBU?
  • How can I best prepare to be financially ready to attend CBU?

Finding outside scholarships available to students and families can be difficult, we get it.

That's why we put together this virtual workshop to teach students and families how to search and apply for outside scholarships. We will cover everything from where to search, provide a time of live Q&A and share some of our personal recommendations.

Our goal is to equip students and families with helpful tools and resources when applying for outside scholarships.

What is FAFSA? We know that this federal form can be confusing, that's why we've created these workshops!

This virtual workshop will teach students and families about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We will cover everything from where and how to begin, as well as provide a time of Q&A at the conclusion.

Our goal is to equip students and families with the knowledge they need to better understand and complete the FAFSA process. 

Highlights include:
- Step by step walk through how to create an FSA ID
- How to complete the FAFSA from beginning to submission
- Opportunity to ask questions to our Financial Aid Outreach Coordinator

Financial Aid events are broken up into three (3) categories:

All information sessions and workshops are conducted virtually using Zoom or Webex. 

CBU has a broad range of financial aid options that are available to assist undergraduate students—including scholarships and grants through CBU Aid, government aid and private aid, and various loan opportunities. To learn more about these options, click here.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a form completed by current and prospective college students to determine their eligibility for student financial aid.
