Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders
In This Section
The programs in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders are designed to equip students with the knowledge, clinical experiences and professional skills to successfully begin a career in speech-language pathology, audiology or other related fields.
About Us
Our on-campus Clinical Education Center affords students the opportunity to learn how to work with people with communication disorders across the lifespan. Our clinical supervisors are experts in the field and they guide students in implementing speech-language therapy in both individual and group contexts.
The speech-language pathology program at CBU is designed to integrate classroom learning with clinical experiences. We offer many opportunities for students to practice skills they learn in the classroom with clients in real-life situations. Most importantly, we strive to create a collaborative, collegial learning environment by making personal connections with all our students.
The faculty at CBU are all strongly committed to teaching and supervising students, and we are motivated by watching students grow in their knowledge and love for the field of speech-language pathology. Whether you prefer meeting once a semester for advising, talking to professors after class or emailing questions/observations, you will find our faculty value every opportunity to help students reach their maximum potential.
Thank you for considering the CSD program at CBU for your undergraduate or graduate studies. Please reach out any time if I can help you understand more about our programs.
Many blessings,
