Intentional Experience and Career Preparation through Accredited Programs
At the CBSS, we prepare students for a life of service. We offer a lecture series on campus to connect our students with leading scholars in the field who combine their academic expertise with their service-centered mindset to explore various career paths. Students put their passion into action by practicing the skills they have learned through community partnerships and organizations to utilize in their future careers.
Premier Research Centers and Clinical Services
We offer three premier research centers — the Center for Community Engagement and Social Innovation, the Center for the Study of Human Behavior and The Center for Sport and Performance Psychology. These centers support and enhance research and are a wonderful resource to collaborate alongside others and develop innovative practices that impact the lives and well-being of the community.
Intentional Community Partnerships
We intentionally connect our students to local organizations and clinical services to utilize the skills learned in the classroom. CBSS students complete over 200,000 hours of service with over 220 agencies throughout Southern California during the academic year. With practical experience, passion for service and a high-quality education, CBU students are desired and sought out by reputable employers.
