| Community of Practice (CoP) on Biblical Justice | Course Name: | Community of Practice (CoP) on Biblical Justice: A Pathway to Smart Decarceration | | Community of Practice (CoP) on Biblical Justice | Course Description: | If you are a social work student, professional, pastor, ministry leader, community stakeholder, or someone with lived experience, this CoP will provide an opportunity to engage with others who are passionate about biblical justice and restoring the damage incurred by mass incarceration in their communities. CoP members will participate in meaningful dialogue with fellow members while sharing knowledge, insights, and resources.
The CoP will be facilitated by Emilio Bermejo, Assistant Professor of Social Work at California Baptist University whose doctor in social work (DSW) studies are focused on exploring ways social workers and church leaders can partner and “work for the peace and prosperity (shalom) of the city” (Jeremiah 29:7).
