This course provides students an opportunity to examine the use of information systems, databases, and analytical tools in information technology to enhance performance in healthcare organizations. In this core course in financial management, students will learn the fundamentals of budgeting and accounting for public, health, and not-for-profit organizations. Through readings, lectures, real-world case studies, and assignments, students will gain an understanding of how to use financial information in organizational planning, implementation, control, reporting, and analysis.
