How long will the program take? Students complete 52 semester units. The program is designed for students to complete
the course and dissertation requirements in three years or nine continuous semesters
of study. Students have the option for additional time to complete their dissertation
if necessary.

What is the research-based comprehensive project? The dissertation process involves a series of research courses, including methods
and planning/writing components. Guidance will be provided also by the program director
and your personal dissertation chair.
Application
What is the highest degree of education necessary to be eligible for acceptance into
the program? A master’s degree (or a terminal degree) from a regionally accredited institution,
or the evaluated equivalency, is required for acceptance.
How many units can be transferred in from other graduate programs? Students can transfer a maximum of nine units of approved credits. Transfer courses
are approved by the program director.
Are there any requirements, such as transcripts or other proof of my previous education? Official transcripts for bachelor’s and master’s degrees are required.
What is required in order to apply? An application, official transcripts, and an interview with the Program Director.
Is there a minimum GPA needed for acceptance, and if so, what is it? Minimum master’s degree GPA of 3.0 is required.
