Courses
The general education requirements will follow the curriculum set forth for other university programs. Some general education requirements will be met through specific mechanical engineering requirements. Approximately 18 units of general education are not met in the specific core and mechanical engineering requirements.
*Junior/senior transfer students will complete EGR 301. All other students will complete EGR 101.
**EGR 106 can be taken instead of EGR 102. EGR 124 can be taken instead of EGR 122. EGR 121 can be taken instead of EGR 120.
A minimum of thirty (30) units of math or science coursework is required for the degree. The courses below meet this requirement.
Complete one of the following courses:
Methods of solution of ordinary differential equations with some applications to geometry and physics. (3 units)
*Plus 3 additional upper division approved engineering elective units.
- Successfully pass the practice FE Exam.
- Complete an approved cross-cultural experience. Course credit is not required. A list of approved experiences is available in the College of Engineering.
- Complete a pre-approved and supervised internship of a minimum of 200 hours with a maximum of 1200 hours.
