Student outcomes describe what students are expected to know and be able to do by the time of graduation. These relate to the knowledge, skills and behaviors that students acquire as they progress through the program. The outcomes prepare graduates to attain the program educational objectives.

CBU graduates are expected to acquire:

  • SLO 1: Students will be able to explain and demonstrate laboratory techniques that are foundational to the biotechnology industry.
  • SLO 2: Students will be able to critically analyze and discuss scientific journal articles.
  • SLO 3: Students will be able to critically analyze and discuss selected contemporary and/or controversial issues in biotechnology, enabling them to be informed citizens and participants in the public debate and discourse involving these issues.
  • SLO 4: Students will develop and articulate a biblical perspective in Biotechnology, integrating faith and learning.
  • SLO 5: Students will apply their knowledge of biology and biotechnology through participation in a focused research project.
