CBU Partners with World Vision

Students do not have to wait to change the world; they can do it today. That’s what CBU and World Vision believe, and why World Vision speaker Nate Butler will be sharing a personal, convicting and encouraging word for our school community. Learn more about World Vision and how you can be a part of their work around the world and on CBU’s campus!

About World Vision

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization with over 70 years of experience. Their focus is on helping the most vulnerable children overcome poverty and experience fullness of lifeThey help kids of all backgrounds, even in the most dangerous places, as they desire to live out the great commandment to love God and love others.

With a presence in nearly 100 countries, World Vision is on the ground when disaster strikes—and they stay for long-term support, to help kids, families, and communities recover and rebuild.

World Vision tackles poverty at its roots, with an integrated approach that includes water, healthcare, education, child protection, and income generation, so every child can grow into who God created them to be.

A few ways to engage with World Vision:

    • Learn the facts about child marriage, clean water and child slavery.
    • Discover how you can be an advocate on our campus and to be a part of World Vision’s work worldwide.
    • Lace up your running shoes and grab your friends on May 22 and run to help a child receive safe, clean drinking water. The Global 6k for Water unites people across the world to raise funds and awareness about the global water crisis. You can register here. Every step you take is one they don’t have to.
    • Read news and stories about global poverty and how to address the root causes. You’ll find out how to help stop something horrific called FGM (you won’t believe what it is) and discover 8 keys to a more powerful prayer life.
