The Colony
The Colony apartments offer a great community experience for transfer and continuing residential students (freshmen are not eligible). Colony apartments are fully furnished and, depending on the size of the apartment, accommodate 3 to 4 residents. A thriving community of upperclassmen, The Colony has much to offer, including a pool, community area and an outdoor basketball court. Colony residents will have many opportunities to get to know their neighbors through quality living area events and programs each semester.
Colony is the largest living area at CBU. In order to make each student's experience better The Colony has been divided into 3 sections: North, East and West Colony. The apartment types are the same throughout The Colony and the buildings' letters differentiate what section of The Colony you prefer to be assigned to.
Amenities
The Colony apartments feature 1 or 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, living room and 1 or 2 bathrooms. Each apartment comes furnished with an extra-long twin bed, desk, desk chair and dresser for each student, as well as a dining table and chairs, sofa, coffee table, lamps, sofa chair and an end table for the apartment. Other amenities include:
- Charter digital cable in the living room
- Wireless internet
- Central air conditioning and heating
- A kitchen with a refrigerator, stove/oven and dishwasher
- A patio or balcony at each apartment
- A large centrally located laundry room
