Students in the M.S. in Counseling Psychology program can choose to add an optional concentration in Forensic Psychology and/or the Professional Clinical Counseling (PCC) coursework. Student who complete the PCC coursework will be eligible to apply for PCC licensure in California.

Optional Professional Clinical Counselor Coursework

The coursework in professional clinical counseling prepares students with additional training in the important areas of community mental health counseling and career counseling. Graduates are equipped to work in community mental health centers, agencies, and organizations, and are employable within and covered by managed care organizations and health plans. 

Optional Forensic Counseling Concentration

The concentration in forensic psychology prepares students with the principles and practical applications of examining forensic psychology approaches to criminal behaviors, biological basis of behavior, and applications of psychology and law.
