Synchronous Virtual Learning MBA+ 

The Jabs School of Business MBA+ program is a one-year synchronous virtual learning option for students who desire true flexibility and true accountability. The program curriculum stays current with domestic and global business trends and instruction mirrors the post-pandemic work environment.

Flexibility

Be anywhere as long as you're here. Virtual learning gives you the flexibility to join a live MBA classroom from anywhere. Twice per week evening classes meet after normal business hours.

Accountability

Unlike a pure online program, the Jabs MBA+ simulates modern, real-world work environments of virtual conferences and meetings. Synchronous delivery simulates an “in class” experience that allows you to see, hear and connect with your peers and professors.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different than an online MBA program?
The Jabs MBA+ program admits students in the Fall semester and can be completed in 1 year. Many online programs are asynchronous - allowing students the flexibility to log in at their convenience to listen to recorded lectures. Our MBA+ is a unique approach offering a synchronous model – our students must log in at a specified time for a live class session. This experience brings increased value through group and faculty interaction. Networking with fellow students and faculty becomes a critical part of the MBA+ experience. Additionally, the MBA+ hosts a 5-day on-campus intensive (OCI) during the Fall and Spring semesters.

When do classes meet?
The Jabs MBA+ is designed to accommodate the busy schedules of working professionals who require additional flexibility in class attendance. Courses are offered Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 6–10 pm and meet synchronously. This means you will need to log in to class and participate in the live course at your scheduled time.

What are "on-campus intensives" (OCI) and what do they look like?
The purpose of having an OCI is to offer students a unique opportunity to meet faculty and the cohort face to face 1 x per semester. The 5-day event will begin with a welcome dinner, followed by participation in projects,  networking on campus. Additionally, students will be presented with various workshop which include leadership and business topics of the day.  The week rounds off with additional engaging activities. The two intensive weeks take place in the Fall and in the Spring semesters. Typically this happens during the 4^th week of the semester. You will receive instructions early in the semester with dates and times for you to make arrangements.

How long does the MBA+ program take to complete?
The distance-learning option is available in a 12-month format as a cohort model.

Am I able to change programs from MBA+ to on campus in the future?
No. This program is specifically designed to take a cohort of scholars through the program together.

Are the admission requirements different for this program?
No. The admissions requirements are the same as the traditional on-campus program. Please refer to the admissions requirement page for more details.

Is this program also accredited?
Yes. The program curriculum is the same as the traditional program; therefore, the program is both WASC and ASCSB approved.

What concentrations does the MBA+ offer?
The concentration option available is Management. Currently, there are no plans to offer any other concentrations.
