Student Learning Outcomes
SLO 1: Content Knowledge: Demonstrate basic and advanced levels of content knowledge
in the sport management academic discipline including human movement, economics, human
resources, governance, media and more.
SLO 2: Graduating students will have knowledge of the psychological techniques and
consulting skills used to improve performance and overcome personal barriers.
SLO 3. Students will demonstrate ability in critical thinking and problem-solving.
Demonstrate the ability to thoroughly analyze issues and reach solutions to common
problems in the sport management profession.
SLO 4: Students will demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in multiple forms
and channels including but not limited to formal and informal, verbal and non-verbal,
vertical and horizontal, old and new media.
SLO 5: Students will understand how to view and apply concepts in sports and performance
psychology through a Christian lens.
