1. Students will have a solid foundation of mathematical and statistical processes at a level comparable to that of students graduating with a BS in Actuarial Science at other universities.  Processes should include (but are not limited to) a proficiency in collection, organization, design, and drawing inferences from data using appropriate statistical methodology and problem solving skill.
  2. Students will demonstrate their ability to apply Mathematics and Statistics of Actuarial Science in other fields at an appropriate level and demonstrate their ability to apply knowledge acquired from their major to real world models.
  3. Students will demonstrate mastery of data analysis and statistical concepts of Actuarial Science by communicating critically reasoned analysis through written and oral presentations.
  4. Students will acquire up-to-date skills and/or applications of computer and statistical programming related to Actuarial Science career choices.
  5. Students will apply their knowledge of mathematics and statistics of Actuarial Science through an in-depth senior project/research experience.  Results will be presented in both written and visual formats (PowerPoint, poster, conference paper, etc.)
  6. Students will be able to read, interpret, and critically analyze mathematics and statistics related to Actuarial Science in journal articles directed at undergraduate students.
