Student Learning Outcomes

  1. International studies majors should be able to demonstrate in written form engagement in a personal faith-pilgrimage which enables the integration of faith and reason, the development of value-based character, and a commitment to the service of God and human culture.
  2. International studies majors should be able to demonstrate competency with a modern foreign language.
  3. International studies majors should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of international issues, actors, and trends. 
  4. International studies majors should be able to satisfactorily complete an international experience that includes engaging the most meaningful components of a different culture (e.g., language, religion, and norms).
  5. International studies majors should understand basic research concepts and methodology as they are employed in the analysis of political behavior and policy formation.
