Program Details

Consistent with the university student outcomes, upon completion of the Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership degree, graduates will be able to:

  1. Effectively communicate both orally and in writing and demonstrate proficiency in the use of information technology.
  2. Identify, describe and apply foundational leadership theories and practices.
  3. Identify, describe and apply conflict analysis models, tools and processes.
  4. Examine and evaluate communication tools and strategies for instituting change, collaboration and organizational growth.
  5. Examine the social, cultural, and historical influences on leadership in a global society.
  6. Investigate and explore the leader's role in creating and preventing organizational design and change.
  7. Develop a practical understanding of how to use financial data to inform leaders in making effective decisions to carry out the mission and goals of an organization.
  8. Describe and evaluate the strategic role of human resources in performing contemporary processes and regulatory procedures.
  9. Examine the issues that shape public policy at the local, state and federal level and the ethical dilemmas policy makers face.
  10. Develop an understanding of how to create strategic options by analyzing, evaluating, and synthesizing various strategies.
  11. Synthesize the knowledge and skills learned throughout the program, and to develop an innovative, comprehensive project.
  12. Demonstrate spiritual literacy, and respect diverse religious, cultural, philosophical, and aesthetic experiences and perspectives.

ORG 534: Leadership Across Cultures

Examines the social, cultural, and historical influences on leadership in a global society. Aspects of social forces, dynamics, and historical contexts that influence human experience will be explored.

ORG 545: Leading Organizational Change

Investigates concepts and practical techniques of organizational design and change. Emphasizes change management includes factors in transitioning individuals, teams, and organizations to a desired future state.

ORG 567: Managing Human Capital

Investigates concepts and practical techniques of organizational design and change. Emphasizes change management includes factors in transitioning individuals, teams, and organizations to a desired future state.
