RIVERSIDE (Feb. 25, 2013) - Dr. Larry Poland, chairman and founder of Mastermedia International, says some of the nation's most famous people are some of the unhappiest.

Poland, speaking in a CBU chapel service Feb. 25, said he began the organization in 1979 in hopes of creating "a systematic strategy to build relationships with decision-makers for the purpose of sharing Christ."

"Hollywood for all of it glitz and glamour really has a bad rap for its culture," Poland said. "I am not just talking about with the Christians but with the general populace as well."

While some cite conspiracies, money problems, political orientation or poor image as the root of Hollywood's unfavorable standing with the nation, Poland sees another issue.

"Everyone in Hollywood started out lost and probably still are (lost)," Poland said.

Out of this understanding, Poland began ministering to the "decision-makers." Over the past 30 years, he has ministered to people from every facet of Hollywood's counter-culture.

He challenged audience members to be proud of the gospel and share it just as he has through his work with Mastermedia International.
