Finalists compete in Business Idea Competition
RIVERSIDE (December 2, 2011) – Five finalists will compete December 8 in the inaugural Business Idea Competition
hosted by the Dr. Robert K. Jabs School of Business at California Baptist University.
The competition is set from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Copenbarger Presidential Dining Room
at CBU.
Competing for the first place prize of $2,000 are students Tai Sherrod, a sophomore
psychology major; Preston Brown, a senior business major; Stephanie Fluitt, Master
of Business Administration student; Brittani Ciupek, a senior business administration
management major; and Steven Fruh, a senior graphic design major. A group of 17 proposals
were submitted and reviewed by a faculty panel that selected the top five projects.
During the competition, each finalist will present a three-minute presentation and
participate in a seven-minute question and answer session hosted by a panel of local
entrepreneurs. The winner will be chosen by audience and panelists' votes.
