College of Allied Health To Host Dr. Linda Burnes Bolton April 8
RIVERSIDE (April 4, 2013)—California Baptist University's College of Allied Health will host Dr. Linda Burnes Bolton for the final event of the 2012-2013 Distinguished Speaker Series on April 8. Burnes Bolton is vice president for nursing, chief nursing officer and director of nursing research of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
She will speak on "Roles of Health Professionals within a Culture of Health" from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Innovator's Auditorium, Business Building.
Burnes Bolton received her bachelor of science in nursing from Arizona State University, a master's in nursing, a master's in public health and a doctorate in public health from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her research, teaching, and clinical expertise includes nursing and patient care outcomes, improving organization performance, quality care and cultural diversity within the health professions. She is co-investigator of the regional Collaborative Alliance for Nursing Outcomes research team.
In 2011, Modern Healthcare magazine named Bolton as one of the top 25 women in health care. She was named Woman of the Year in 2012 by Women in Health Administration.
