CBU Women's Golf Wins Invitational Tournament
As the season has gone along and the winning has continued, the pressure has mounted for California Baptist University. It was only amplified Tuesday, as the team came into the second round of its own tournament with a lead.
CBU shrugged off the pressure and lived up to the expectations, posting the best second-round score to build on the seven-stroke lead it grabbed in the first round to win its own invitational Tuesday at the Victoria Club. The Lancers shot a 318 Tuesday to finish with a two-round team score of 621, which was 37-over par.
