Lancer Connect Peer Mentoring Program
Empowering First-Generation Students for Their Purpose in Christ-Centered Community
About the Lancer Connect Peer Mentoring Program
The Lancer Connect Peer Mentoring Program, supported by the HSI Grant Programs, is designed to support first-generation commuter students, particularly those in the pre-nursing major. This program connects students with mentors who provide peer-to-peer support for both academic success and personal growth. Whether you’re a mentee seeking guidance or a mentor eager to share your experience, Lancer Connect will connect you with others who understand the journey and are committed to your success.
Our program helps students develop in their academic pursuits, personal growth, and spiritual walk, empowering them to serve, succeed, and live out their unique calling in Christ.
Join us in this journey of growth, empowerment, and Christ-like service as we equip you for a life of purpose and impact.
How to Get Involved
Are you a first-generation commuter student with a GPA of 3.0 or above, studying in majors like Nursing, Health Science, Sociology, or Psychology? You’re invited to make an impact by becoming a mentor. As a mentor, you’ll guide and encourage another student, offering insight into university life and the unique challenges of being a first-generation college student.
If you are a first-generation pre-nursing student, first-generation commuter student, you are encouraged to apply for mentorship. As a mentee, you will receive the support you need in your academic journey, personal development, and spiritual growth as you connect with a mentor who will guide you every step of the way.
