Lisa Peredia - Counseling Center Assistant Director
Lisa Peredia holds a Master of Science in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix and a B.A. in Criminal Justice from California State University, San Bernardino. She is also currently pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision at Grand Canyon University. Lisa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#98988), private practice owner and CAMFT-certified supervisor. She assumed the Counseling Center assistant director role in early 2022. Before CBU, Lisa worked nine years for county schools as an employee and as a clinical therapist, serving the last four years as the clinical compliance supervisor. She has experience working with youth, adolescents, and young adults, including individuals, couples, and families. Lisa has worked in the university counseling center setting, alternative education, special education, and incarcerated settings with clinical experience in treating under-served populations, trauma, disassociation, attachment trauma, crisis response, depression, anxiety, psychosis, ADHD, learning disorders, and more. Lisa is also married and has two children.
