Bill Fiala

Bill graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Illinois.  After completing his Bachelor’s degree, he completed his M.A. in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. He has worked for Journeys Counseling Ministry as a licensed psychologist and clinical supervisor for 15 years. He also worked at Azusa Pacific University for 24 years, with 18 of those years spent working at the university’s counseling center. Bill is the Lead Clinical Supervisor of the Trainees and Associates of the CBUCC; specializing in exploring faith and spiritual development, focusing on men’s issues, leadership and management, coping with stress, chronic pain and illness, life transitions, and identity formation. One interesting fact about Bill is that he serves as an elder at his church, Grace Church of Glendora, where he also serves in worship. He also loves to read and spend time with his wife of 26 years and two sons. Bill’s favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 2:8-10, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith -and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
