Paul and Annie Kienel
The legacy of Dr. Paul and Annie Kienel is consistent with the highest ideas of leadership and the leadership studies institute at CBU. Paul and Annie met when Annie was a student at Bethany Bible College. They were married in July of 1957. Annie worked alongside Paul when he became the leader of the California Association of Christian Schools. Additionally Annie Kienel served in the Civilian Personnel Office at McClellan Air Force Base.
Paul is the founder and president emeritus of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), the largest organization of Protestant schools in the world. Annie served as the Office Manager for the California Association of Christian Schools. She traveled widely with her husband and has been a support to him in his ministry with ACSI.
Furthermore Paul was co-founder and vice chairman of The CoMission, the largest missions cooperative in the history of the Evangelical Christian community. Paul also co-founded the Evangelical Christian Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in America. He is the author of ten books including a two-volume History of Christian School Education.
